Amanda Johanna Heidorn, age 102, of Perham, MN, died Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at the Frazee Care Center, Frazee, MN. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2006, at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Perham, with Reverend Del Stohs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, October 13, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, MN, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm and one hour prior to services at the church.
Amanda was born January 17, 1904, in Pine Lake Township, Otter Tail County, MN, the daughter of Charles and Karoline (Haut) Bahls. On October 12, 1926, she married Arthur Heidorn in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Perham, MN. Arthur and Amanda farmed in Corliss Township for 48 years. In 1974 they retired and moved to Perham. Arthur died in March 1986.
Amanda is survived by three sons, Norman (Elaine) Heidorn, Arthur, ND; Floyd Heidorn, Perham, MN; and Roger Heidorn, Perham, MN; two daughters, Hazel (Herb) Hatfield, Portland, OR; and Carol (Marlin) Swick, Milwaukie, OR; thirteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Amanda is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; brothers, Arnold, Richard, Edward, Bill, Walter, Harry, Albert, and Norbert; and sisters, Hattie, Alma, Ella, and Dora.
