Clyde Christopher Lee, age 91, of Perham, MN, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home, Perham, MN. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 22, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dent, MN, with Father Arlie Sowada officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph?s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, from 3:30 - 4:30 pm at the nursing home, 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, and one hour prior to the funeral.
Clyde was born August 13, 1915 in Stratford, IA, the son of William and Fannie (Becker) Lee. The family moved to Springfield, MN, shortly after Clyde's birth where he lived until 1941 when he entered the US Army during WWII. After the war, Clyde came back to Springfield where he went to school for cabinetry. He met Irene Schmitz at that time and on October 21, 1947 they were married in Savage, MN. Irene died on September 18, 1991. Clyde enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved the outdoors.
Clyde is survived by his son, Steve, Perham, MN; and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Wollin, Waterlou, IA; and Mrs. Lorraine Allen, Black River Falls, WI.
Clyde is preceded in death by his wife, Irene, and his parents.
