Eleanor M. Draack, age 81, of Perham, MN, died Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home. Funeral services will be Friday, August 5, 2005 at 11:00 am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Perham. Father Jerry Nordick will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, August 4, 2005 at Schoeneberger Funeral Home in Perham from 4-8 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm.
Eleanor was born September 8, 1923 in Sobieski, MN, the daughter of Leo and Frances (Knuth) Smith. She graduated from Henning High School and worked various waitressing jobs. She was married to James Draack in Madison, WI on April 27, 1974. Eleanor spent much of her life caring for her mother and loved being in the garden.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, James; step daughters Patricia (Larry) Urbach, Vergas, MN; Nancy (Johnathan) Hebert, Audubon, MN; and Barbara (Tom) Loeffen, Perham, MN; one sister, Illah Snelgrove, Perham, MN; seven nieces and nephews, Mary Pousard, Francis Snelgrove, Rick Snelgrove, Caryl Schepper, Eugene Smith, Darwin Smith and Ed Smith; five step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ed and Don; and one sister, Evelyn Kilp.
