Elizabeth Mary "Betty" Paul, age 63, of Perham, MN, died on Thursday, August 24, 2006, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 28, at 11:00 am at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham, with Father Peter Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 27, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Elizabeth was born August 14, 1943, in Little Falls, MN, the daughter of Vivien "Ike" and Anne (Welinski) Anderson. She was one of fourteen children. Betty attended school in Little Falls and graduated high school there. On April 11, 1964, she was married to David Paul. She enjoyed many trips to Medjugorje and a special trip to the Holy Land. She cherished the many hours spent with her grandchildren; on all the fishing trips, bike rides, and watching the boys' baseball games. Her hobbies included crocheting rugs, making towels, rosaries, and painting ceramics. She was a very active member in the St. Henry's Catholic Church. Betty?s mission was seeing all her family and friends enjoy TEC weekends with her. Her devout strong pro-life spirit was seen and appreciated by all.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Tony (Benita) Paul, Perham, MN; birth daughter, Judy (Curt) Welker, Owatonna, MN; grandchildren, Brittany, Bret, Austin, Morgan, and Leah; sisters, Dorothy (Martin) Wagner, Royalton, MN; Marie (Jerry) Trafas, Hopkins, MN; Judi (Bob) Johnson, Little Falls, MN; Carol (Pete) Mick, Royalton, MN; Peggy (LeRoy) Hoheisel, Pierz, MN; and Lois (Marty) Weyers, Coon Rapids, MN; brothers, Andy (Ruby) Anderson, Bemidji, MN; Tom (Karen) Anderson, Sauk Rapids, MN; Bill (Georgia) Anderson, Bruce (Kathy) Anderson, and Chris (Kelsi) Anderson, all of Little Falls, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; son, Bret; sister, Ginny; and brother, Jack.
The family prefers memorials to be addressed to the Perham Memorial Nursing Home or the Roger Maris Center - MeritCare.
