Florence Weickert

Florence Weickert, age 85, of Perham, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home.


Florence was born in Perham , MN , April 23, 1925 , to Alex and Regina (Ziolkowski) Rebuck. She spent her life growing up in Perham, working at the local drug store and was a lifelong resident. Florence was united in marriage to John Weickert of Perham, on April 1, 1948 , and together they had four children; Marge, Mary, James and Johnny. John died on October 26, 1983 .



Florence was a devoted Christian. She loved sewing, crafts, gardening, going on Judy’s Tours , visiting with others and baking; making her special cakes, candies, popcorn balls and famous dishes. She was an avid Twins baseball fan, never missing a game and always recording every statistic.



Florence is survived by two daughters, Marge Licence, Perham, MN; and Mary (Tim) Licence, Perham; two sons, James (LaVonne) Weickert, Perham, MN; and John (Cheryl) Weickert, Dent, MN; ten grandchildren, Mike (Michelle) Licence, Kevin (Cindy) Licence, Laurie (Keith) Licence-Schleeter, Heidi Licence (Ray), Cass Licence (Lisa), Sabrina (James) Licence-Wallace, Joshua (Nicole) Weickert, Jennifer Weickert, Jessica Weickert (Phil), and Curt Friedsam; and eleven great grandchildren.



Preceding Florence in death are her parents, Alex and Regina Rebuck; husband, John; brother, Raymond Rebuck; and son-in-law, Bob Licence.



Florence was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends but will remain, and live on, in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.
