Genevieve Eliza Kjorlien (Bunday) was born
December 30, 1915

, the daughter of Vinal F. and Pauline V. Bunday. After a year of college she lived in rural
Grace
Township
and taught at a country school in
North Dakota
. During this time she was courted by a neighbor, Alton S. Kjorlien, whom she married on
July 8, 1937
. As was the custom, she ended her teaching career to start a family and become
Alton
’s business partner until his death on
July 14, 1976
.
Genevieve is survived by her sons, Dennis L. (Becky E.) Kjorlien,
Buffalo
,
MN
; and Roy D. (Cathy J. Cleary) Kjorlien, Grand Rapids, MN; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Kjorlien, Apple Valley, MN; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Preceding Genevieve in death are her parents, Vinal and Pauline; husband,
Alton
; and son, Jerry D.
