Ida Carlson

Ida Jeanette Carlson, age, 84, of Perham, MN, formerly of Minneapolis, MN, died at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home on Sunday, January 30, 2005. Private burial will take place at a later date.



Ida was born on September 23, 1920, in Mahnomen, MN. Her parents were Ole and Elizabeth (Brisbois) Green. She grew up and attended St. Michaels Catholic School in Mahnomen. In 1938, Ida married Ervin Gunderson in Mahnomen. After their marriage, the couple moved to Milwaukee, WI, until 1947 when they moved to Minneapolis, MN.

They divorced in 1952. Ida married Ole Carlson. They raised their family in South Minneapolis, MN. After her husband's death in 1980, Ida moved to Perham with her son, Dean and family.



Surviving Ida are her children, Lonnie and husband, Ollie Christopherson, of Becker, MN, Sylvia Nelson, of Anoka, MN, daughter-in-law, Karen Gunderson, of Coon Rapids, MN, Dale and wife ,Toni Carlson, of Deer Creek, MN, Dean and wife, Davette Carlson, of Perham, MN and twins, Mike and Mark Carlson, of Perham, MN; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Isabel Carlin, of Mound, MN and Helen Bellecourt, of Minneapolis, MN; brother, Charles Green, of Detroit Lakes, MN and sister-in-law, Mary Green, of North Minneapolis, MN.



Preceding Ida in death were her parents; both husbands; one son, James Gunderson; one grandson, Kurt Christopherson; six brothers and four sisters.
