Funeral services for Idell Alta Brown, age 93, of Richville, MN, will be at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, Friday, February 11, 2005, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Richville Village Cemetery. Visitation at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, is from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 10, 2005, as well as one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Idell died at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home, Monday, February 7, 2005.
Idell was born December 31, 1911, in Dead Lake Township, MN, the daughter of Gustave and Carrie (Hanson) Leddin. She attended school in Richville, MN. On February 28, 1932, Idell and Floyd Brown were united in marriage. Together they raised two daughters. She and her husband farmed in the Richville area for about 30 years. Idell was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Basswood, MN. She enjoyed sewing, framing pictures and going to garage sales. Idell loved visiting with her family and friends and especially being with her grandchildren.
Preceding Idell in death were her parents; her husband, Floyd, on May 23, 1992; a sister, Cleora Brown and a daughter, Arlys (Lien) Greenwaldt.
Surviving Idell is one daughter, Zelda Knodle, of Fergus Falls, MN; ten grandchildren, Roxane (Rick) Thom, Marlin Knodle, Craig Knodle, Cheryl (Larry) Enderle, all of Fergus Falls, MN, Gary Lien and Shelia (Arvin) Widness, of Richville, MN, Shelby Stoll, of Perham, MN, Bonnie (Donald) Stoering, of Dent, MN, Tammy (Jack) Hofmann, and Randy (Lisa) Lien, of Richville, MN; 17 great-grandchildren ; 5 great-great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
