The funeral service for Irene B. Beedy, 79, Fargo, ND formerly of Dent and Perham, MN will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. in Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham with Reverend Roger Parks officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Dent, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Irene died on Sunday, September 4, 2005 in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Irene Bertha Heilman was born the daughter of Lorenz and Elizabeth (Voeller) Heilman on October 9, 1925 near Esmond, ND. She was raised and attended country school near Esmond. Following, she worked for area families and then for the Harvey, ND Hospital. She also worked for a restaurant in Harvey. She was united in marriage to Preston Beedy on October 17, 1957. They lived near Dent on Star Lake. Preston died on November 22, 1983. She continued to make her home on Star Lake and in 1992 she moved to Perham. In 2003 she moved to Fargo and was a resident at Manor Care.
She is survived by a brother, Edwin (Vonnie), Oregon; 10 sisters, Lena Vetsch and Ruth Dosch, both of Selz, ND; Viola Heilman, California; Lillian Kraft, Fargo, ND; Angela Held and Anna Rose West both of Washington; Lorraine Klatte, Minneapolis, MN; Arlene Selzer, Waubun, MN; Eleanor (Ellery) Ehni, Fessedon, ND and Margie (Russ) Teeters, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston; her parents; two brothers, Lawrence and Henry and a sister, Isabelle.
