James Thomas Pawlowski, age 84, of Perham, MN, died Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 6, 2005 at 11:00 am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Perham. Father Jerry Nordick will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 5, 2005 at Schoeneberger Funeral Home in Perham from 4-8 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm.
James was the oldest son of Joseph B and Victoria (Ceynowa) Pawlowski. He was born January 13, 1921 in Perham, MN, and was in the Army during WWII, stationed in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Jim married Mary Roes on September 14, 1948. They were together for 37 years until her death on March 14, 1986. He married Shirley Dalgliesh on September 5, 1987 and was with her until his death. Jim was an avid sportsman; he loved to hunt and fish. He also liked to golf, bowl and play shuffleboard at the Pine to Palm Park in Texas. Jim enjoyed traveling in the many cars he had acquired over the years.
Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley, Perham, MN; his children Bill (Jill) Pawlowski, Perham, MN; David (Cindy) Pawlowski, Perham, MN; Tom (Wanda) Pawlowski, Prior Lake, MN; Susan (Jim) Rook, Alexandria, MN; Mary (Steven) Powell, Perham, MN; Jean Pawlowski and fiancAsh Tom Hangaard, Shakopee, MN; her children Charles (Val) Dalgliesh, Brandon, Manitoba; Linda Dalgliesh, Winnipeg, Canada; Kathleen (Dan) Sheffield, Hamilton, Ontario; Rick (Marriette) Dalgliesh, St. Adolphe, Manitoba; and Shirwyn Dalgliesh, New Westminster, British Columbia; grandchildren, Drew, Kassia, Claire, Chelsie, Zach, Amy, Tracey (Larry) Gorham, Melissa (Troy) Hancock, Amanda (Derek) Uecker, Sam, Emily, Frank, David, Thor, and Tina; step grandchildren, Dan (Karina), and Shannon (Jim), Jenny, Jill, Janell, Paul, Shaun, Toni, Shannon, Tyson, Brianne, Paige, Jamila, and Jared; great grandchildren Colton, Tyler, Mikayla, Kelsie, Jonah, Devin, Noah, and Hailey; and two brothers, Joseph (Geraldine) Pawlowski, Minneapolis; and Robert (Margaret) Pawlowski, Woodland, TX; many nieces, nephews and relatives.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Roes; one brother, Paul Pawlowski; one sister, Marjorie Paulbeck; daughter-in-law, Lisa Pawlowski and son-in-law, Tom Esser.
