. He enlisted in the US Army after graduating from
Columbia
Falls
High School
. While stationed in
Alaska
he met and married JoAnn Johnson, formerly of
Hillsboro
,
ND
. He retired as Sergeant FC in 1976 and relocated his family to Perham in June 1977. He then attended Detroit Lakes Vo-Tech and upon graduating, became proprietor of JP's Marine but he's most fondly remembered as the guy behind the counter at Westside Services.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 47 years, JoAnn; son, Donald (Kathy Kava),

ND
; two daughters, Jeniffer (Tom) Baker,
Sacramento
,
CA
; and Sheila (Peter) Bourdeau,
Scottsdale
,
AZ
; three grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
