Kathryn V. Feyereisen, PhD, age 93, of the Sierra Winds Retirement Community, Peoria, AZ, passed away January 10, 2007. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2007, beginning at 9:00 am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Perham, with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Burial will follow in St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery.
Kathryn was born September 7, 1913, in Waterloo, IA, but grew up in Perham, MN. She received her BA Degree from Moorhead State University and her PhD from Columbia University in New York. Her life?s work was in education. Kathryn taught in elementary schools in Des Moines, IA, and Detroit, MI, and at the university level at Wayne University in Detroit, MI. After retiring from teaching, Kathryn lived abroad for ten years in Switzerland and Ireland. She returned to the US and lived in Florida and lastly in Arizona.
Kathryn is survived by her sister, Joan F. White, Honolulu, HI; brother, General Paul A. Feyereisen, Williamsburg, VA; and nieces and nephews ? the children of the late Maria Grace Schoeneberger.
