Margaret Erickson

Margaret Ann Erickson, age 66, of Richville , MN , passed away Thursday, February 5, 2009 , in her home surrounded by family and friends under the care of Lakeland Hospice.


Margaret Ann (Fithen) Erickson was born to Marion and Delilah “Mae” Fithen on June 15, 1942 . Margaret graduated from Fergus Falls High School and went on to get a degree in cosmetology. In June of 1961 she was joined in marriage to Clinton Leroy Erickson of Fergus Falls at the Richville United Methodist Church .



Margaret enjoyed working and helping people. She touched the lives of many people. She was employed by the Pioneer Home of Fergus Falls, the Ottertail Nursing Home, and for 34 years she worked for Productive Alternatives before retiring on February 1, 2008 . She loved to spend her spare time with friends and loved ones.



Margaret is survived by her husband, Clinton, Richville, MN; son, William (Elsa) Erickson, Richville, MN; son-in-law, Mark Haspel, Richville, MN; grandchildren, Steven Haspel, Alaina Erickson, and Mae Erickson; sister, Louise Forde, Fergus Falls, MN; brothers, Art (Linda) Fithen, Richville, MN; and David (Sandy) Fithen, Richville, MN; brother-in-law, Richard (Diane) Armstrong; sister-in-law, Darlene Kadel; and many nieces and nephews.



Preceding Margaret in death are parents; daughter, Candise Mae Haspel; sister, Judy Jordahl; brothers-in-law, Kenny Erickson, Rueban Forde, and Mervin Erickson; mothers-in-law, Clara Erickson and Mabel Yepsen; and fathers-in-law, Art Erickson and Glen Yepsen.
