Michael Sepp

August 7, 1929 — January 11, 2007

Michael Velo Sepp, age 77, of Richville, MN, died Thursday, January 11, 2007, at the Henning Health Care Center, Henning, MN. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17, at 2:00 pm at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, MN, with Reverend Gunard Heikkila officiating. Burial will take place in the Richville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 16 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, and also one hour prior to services.



Michael was born the son of Vassli and Alma (Oun) Sepp on August 7, 1929, in Kuressaare, Estonia. In 1944, at the age of 15, Michael and his family moved to Germany and in 1949 they moved to the Unites States making their home in Crystal Lake, IL. There he worked as a butcher in a grocery store. Michael was drafted into the United States Army in 1951 and served until 1953 during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge, he moved back to Illinois where he married Lois Dallman. They continued to make their home in Illinois before moving to Willard, WI. There he dairy farmed. He then moved to Wausau, WI, where he continued to farm. In 1991, he moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he worked as a security guard. In June of 1992, he married Ingrid Siilak and they moved to Richville shortly after their marriage.



Michael enjoyed fishing, cooking, and was active in the Dent Legion Post 148 and currently President of the Richville Senior Center.



He is survived by his wife, Ingrid, Richville, MN; a daughter, Jan (Jerome) Litten, Princeton, MN; two sons, David (Deanna) Sepp, Maple Grove, MN; and Steven (Cindy) Sepp, Marshfield, WI; a step-daughter, Diane (Ray) Harms, Colorado Springs, CO; two step-sons, Charles Sepp, Oceanside, CA; and Robert Sepp, Elk Horn, WI. Michael is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.



He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Gilbert; a sister, Lea; and his parents.
