Milo
was born
March 1, 1919
, the son of Anton and Minnie (Johnson) Martinson in Dent, MN, where he grew up. He graduated from
Perham
High School
,
June 10, 1937
.
Milo
married Irma Wessel on
September 13, 1939
, and they remained in the Perham area. In 1944
Milo
joined the US Army and was assigned to the 17
th
Airborne Division. On
March 24, 1945
, he jumped into
Germany
and was one of the lucky ones to return home to his family.
Milo
, Irma and their daughters moved to
Menasha
,
WI
, in 1947. There he started his own company, Martinson Realty, where he was both broker and builder. In 1965
Milo
and Irma returned to Perham where he soon started a business with Clarence Hemmelgarn; H&M Builders. He remained active in the company until his retirement.
Milo
’s many interests included hunting, fishing, trap shooting, playing guitar, reading and talking politics. He spent a lot of time in his gun room repairing guns, loading shells and talking with his buddies. Most important to
Milo
was his family and no matter what, you could always count on him to be there.
Milo will be sadly missed by his daughters, Carol (Paul) Wogikoski; Joan Moon; and Gail (Dave) Knight; all of Perham, MN; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and his many friends.
