Norman Bormann

Norman Herbert Bormann, age 80, of Ottertail , MN , died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 , at MeritCare Hospital , Fargo , ND surrounded by family.


Norman was born April 13, 1929 , in Ottertail , MN , the son of Diedrich and Anna (Stuckenschmidt) Bormann. He was united in marriage to ElJeanne Pedersen on May 1, 1954 , in Sisseton, SD.



Norman lived on the family farm his whole life. He loved to hunt and ice fish especially with friends and family. He had a great passion for sports (Twins & Vikings) and attending amateur baseball games in Perham. He cherished his grandchildren making sure he took each of them gopher trapping and anxiously awaited when he could bring his great grandson next summer. Norman was a well rounded person with a great sense of humor.



Norman is survived by his wife, ElJeanne; three children, Larry E (Maria) Bormann, Pamela K (Gary) Brtek, and Jerry L (Barbara) Bormann; six grandchildren, Jacqui, Nicole (Joel), Stephanie, Katie, Tyler, and Michael; one great grandson, Jace; two sisters, Geraldine Olson and Clara Mohr; a brother, Reinhold (Viola) Bormann; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
