Richard W. Rutten, age 57, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Sanford Health Center in Fargo, ND. Richard was born August 3, 1953, in Perham, MN, the son of Charles and Marie (Bucholz) Rutten. He graduated from New York Mills High School in 1971. Richard then attended the Sheltered Workshop/Vocational Training program in Fergus Falls, MN, for one year. In September of 1972, Richard began working at Tuffy's Pet Food in Perham and worked there for over 29 years.
Throughout Richard's life, he enjoyed visiting all of the relatives and watching sports events. He treasured his John Deere lawn and snow equipment. Richard also enjoyed attending all of the local church dinners and didn't miss any.
Surviving Richard are six siblings, Jim (Kathy), Motley, MN; Jerry (Mary), Hawley, MN; Mike (Suzy), Northfield, MN; Kathleen "Cheech" (Roy), Butler, MN; Tina (Greg) Moenkedick, Verndale, MN, and Jeff (Leeanne), Tampa, FL; 14 nieces and nephews and 14 great-nieces and nephews.
Preceding Richard in death are his parents; brother, Joseph, and sister, Jeanine.
