Bob was born April 1, 1927, in Portage, WI, the son of John C. and Delia (Peplinski) Davis. After high school Bob joined the US Navy serving in the South Pacific during WWII in a subchaser. He also served during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Radant on April 10, 1954, in Dubuque, IA, and together raised eight children. Bob worked as a Conservationist in Poynette, WI, for sixteen years before moving to Perham, MN, where he worked as a cook at the Colonial Lounge. Bob then went on to work for Tuffy's Pet Foods in Perham for seventeen years before retiring in 1989.
Bob is survived by eight children, Vicki Anacker, North Pole, AK; Jacki (Dave) Schmidt, Wittenberg, WI; David Anacker, Portage, WI; Lana (Wayne) Smorstad, Lexington, KY; Pamela (David) Bowlin, Nicholasville, KY; Jon (Tuttie) Davis, Frazee, MN; Daniel (Chris) Davis, North Pole, AK; and Kent Davis, Corpus Christi, TX; one sister, Eleanor Meyer, WI; two brothers, Don Davis, CA; and Leo Davis, WI; ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Preceding Bob in death are his parents and wife, Dorothy; brothers, Charles Davis; Clinton Davis; and John Davis; and sister, Ethel Roberts.
