Theresa DiBrito

Theresa Ann Heck was born in her family's home on November 2, 1933, the daughter of John and Anna (Ehrnst) Heck near Barry, MN. She attended school in Barry, St. Mary's Academy, Graceville, and Moorhead State University graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education in 1960. Theresa married Sandy L. DiBrito on August 11, 1960 in Barry, MN. She taught school in Redwood Falls, Little Falls, Bloomington, East Grand Forks, Hoyt Lakes, and lastly Perham Public Schools from 1980 - 1995. Theresa loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends, playing cards, reading, golfing, Bible study, traveling and eating. She was a member of Catholic Daughters and Christian Mothers.


Theresa is survived by four children, Maria (Merle) Waytashek, Little Falls, MN; Kevin DiBrito, Richfield, MN; Deanne (Patrick) Hollermann, St. Cloud, MN; and Kyle (Lynette) DiBrito, Enola, PA; three granddaughters, Melissa and Mary Waytashek, and Sandy DiBrito; two grandsons, Nicholas Hollermann and Marcus DiBrito; three step-granddaughters, Kristin LaBreche, Kelly Benson, and Kerry Benson; step-great-grandson, Jake Yaeger; three brothers, Richard, Edward, and Thomas Heck; and a sister-in-law, Marietta Heck all of Big Stone County, MN.


Preceding Theresa in death are her parents; her husband Sandy; brothers Joe, Jack, and Bart Heck; sisters-in-law, Dorothy, Bev, and Nell Heck; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon DiBrito.


In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
