William "Bill" Sazama, age 54, of Perham, MN, died Friday, January 28, 2011, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND, surrounded by his family.
Bill was born May 15, 1956, to Albert and Regina (Dombeck) Sazama in Perham, MN, where he grew up and graduated from Perham High School in 1975. On December 18, 1976, Bill was united in marriage to Cyndi Fairbanks in Detroit Lakes, MN. In March 1978 he started working for MN DOT in Redwood Falls, MN, and was transferred to Dilworth, MN, a year later. Bill worked out of Dilworth for seven years before coming back home to Perham.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, especially through the mountains and spending time with his grandkids.
Bill is survived by his wife, Cyndi; two children, Jennifer Sazama and Josh (Christina) Sazama; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Lucas; eight brothers and sisters, Roger (Deb) Sazama, Ardell (Marlin) Jorgenson, Jim (Vickie) Sazama, Art (Carol) Sazama, Marcella Silbernagel, Mike (Sandy) Sazama, Louie Sazama and Arlene (Charlie) Silbernagel; mother-in-law, Walene Fairbanks; sister-in-law, Carla (Al) Nicholson; brothers-in-law, Clark (Kathy Kruse) Fairbanks and Craig (Carol Cumber) Fairbanks; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Preceding Bill in death are his parents; a brother, Duane Sazama; sisters-in-law, Shirley Sazama and Lorene Fairbanks; brothers-in-law, Stanley Silbernagel and Christian Jay; father-in-law, Kenneth Fairbanks; and a niece, Chastidy Fairbanks.
