William F. Wenner, age 76, of Perham, MN, died Sunday, November 27, 2005 at the Perham Memorial Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2005, 11:00 am, at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham, MN, with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Internment to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Dent, MN. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 1, 2005 from 4-8:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, MN.
Bill was born on August 9, 1929 in Wadena, MN, the son of Roman and Cecelia (Lange) Wenner. He attended the first twelve years of school in Perham and then joined the Navy for four years. Bill then attended Moorhead State College for one year and Dunwoody Vocation School for baking. He was employed at the Red Owl Bakery in Hopkins, MN. On July 28, 1956 he was married to Joanne Sazama in Dent, MN. They lived in Hopkins for thirty five years. They moved to Perham in 1991 where Bill served on different committees, one being the Senior Citizens Board. Bill went to Texas for the winter months for five years. He enjoyed the Vikings, the Twins, fishing, hunting, catching squirrels, playing cards and watching TV.
Bill is survived by his wife, Joanne, Perham, MN; one daughter, Jeanie Egebrecht, Bolingbrook, IL; two sons, Steven, Woodbury, MN; and Thomas, St. Louis Park, MN; two brothers, James (Isabelle) Wenner, Moorhead, MN; and Ted (Doris) Wenner, Perham, MN; six grandchildren, Debbie, Michelle, Melissa, Don, Mike and Lori; two step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents.
