Clara Betty Mohr, age 95 of Perham, MN died Saturday, June 15, 2019 in the Thomas House, Perham under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 and parish prayers at 7:00 on Tuesday, June 18 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Visitation will resume from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral Mass at 11:00 on Wednesday, June 19 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Clara was born the daughter of Diedrich “Dick” and Anna (Stuekaenschmidt) Bormann on September 15, 1923 on the farm in Ottertail, MN. She was raised on the farm and went to school near Ottertail. She helped raise her brothers and sisters. In her teens she started working at St. James Hospital then Perham Memorial Hospital where she worked until she retired. She was united in marriage to Fred “Fritz” Mohr on August 7, 1945 at St. Henry's Catholic Church. They made their home in Perham where they lived for many years. Clara enjoyed gardening which she always had a huge garden. She also loved her flower garden and baking goodies especially her doughnuts which she shared with everyone she could. You could always find Clara reading her bible in her spare time. Clara never had any children of her own but every child she met she treated them like they were her own.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Fritz; her parents; and eight brothers and nine sisters.
