Arleen Silbernagel

March 1, 1933 — August 19, 2013

Arleen B. Silbernagel, age 80 of Dent, MN died Monday, August 19, 2013 at Perham Living. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 beginning at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dent with Father George Michael officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 PM with prayers at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the funeral mass at the church on Saturday. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Dent.

Arleen was born on March 1, 1933 in Perham, MN the daughter of Albert and Regina (Dombeck) Sazama. Arleen attended Rose Hill School and Perham High School. She was united in marriage to Charles Silbernagel on June 21, 1955. Arleen worked at the Perham Bakery and at Gould Battery in St. Paul, MN. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Arleen and Charles made their home in Circle Pines, MN for 38 years until they retired to their lake home on Marion Lake, Dent, MN in 1993. Arleen loved to tend to her many flowers, feed the hummingbirds, crochet and collect angels. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Surviving Arleen is her husband of 58 years, Charles; four children, Debra (Mike) Schultz of Isanti, MN, Gary of Brooklyn Park, MN, Dale (Merri) of Mora, MN, and Nancy (Mark) Pederson of Circle Pines, MN; 12 grandchildren, Gary Jr., Tonya, Shauna, Joseph, Holli, John Jr., Charissa, Bethany, Erik, Mark Jr., Michael and Adam; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ardell (Marlin) Jorgenson and Marcella Silbernagel; brothers, Louis Sazama, Michael (Sandy) Sazama, James (Vicky) Sazama, Arthur (Carol) Sazama and Roger (Debra) Sazama; along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Arleen in death are her parents; and brothers, Duane and William Sazama.

In memory of Arleen, please wear something red. Red was her favorite color.
