Arthur Leroy Fithen, age 85, of Richville, MN passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was born at home on October 26, 1940, the son of Marion and Delila (Shaw) Fithen. He attended school at District 267 County School, then Perham High School, and the last couple years at Roosevelt Park High School in Fergus Falls.

Art married Linda Marie Dahlvang on April 8, 1964. They lived in Fergus Falls for a few months, then moved to Richville in November of 1964. Art and Linda were blessed with three wonderful children Randall, Susan, and Richard.

Art went to work for the Soo Line Railroad in August of 1963 and worked there until November of 2000, when he retired. He also did some farming and raised beef cattle. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, going to auction sales, and spending time with his family. He loved to visit and talk, talk, talk!

Preceding Art in death were his parents; his father and mother-in-law; siblings, Judy, Margaret, David, and Louise; his brothers-in-law, Reuben, Jerome, and Clinton; sister-in-law, Violet; niece, Candy; and nephew, Conner.

Surviving Art are his is wife Linda; children, Randall, Susan, and Richard (Adonna); grandchildren, Kayla, Dakota (Shawna), Tyler (Amber), Taylor (Mark), Ashton (Adam), Cierra (Jason); great-grandchildren, Ozahlia, Aubrey, and Elliott; brother-in-law, Gary; sister-in-law, Sandi; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. followed by the Memorial Service at 2:00 on Saturday, February 28 at the Richville United Methodist Church. Private inurnment will be in the Richville Cemetery.
