Betty Carmen (McMorrow) Jacobson was born on March 27, 1927, to Pearl (Holmes) and Edward McMorrow in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She lived in several places while growing up, but the place she most remembered was Walker, Minnesota. Betty's faith was strong, often stating while pointing up that "He always watches out for me.” She loved the outdoors, children and her cat, Mickey.

Betty married Clyde Jacobson on August 1, 1953 in Wahpeton, North Dakota. They enjoyed taking trips and spending time at Deer Lake where they retired in 1983. Betty was a hard worker. She liked to be active and loved working outside. She was an early riser, enjoyed her morning coffee and got right to work. Betty was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed mysteries finishing books in record time, skipping over the romantic parts as she knew about that and "...didn't need to read about it.”

Betty, with her cat Mickey, moved to Mill Street Assisted Living Fergus Falls in the fall of 2014. She continued her active lifestyle until recently becoming ill. Betty made friendships with residents and staff, especially enjoying when she could make them laugh.

Betty was preceded in death by her father Edward McMorrow; stepfather Martin Fluto; mother Pearl Fluto; infant brother Richard McMorrow; and her husband Clyde Jacobson.

In lieu of memorials, please make donations to LB Hospice Fergus Falls.
