Beverly JoAnn Worcester, age 91, of Perham, passed away on February 4, 2026.

She was born September 28, 1934 in Hillsboro, ND, the daughter of Raymond F. and Clara (Skyberg) Johnson. She was known to her family and friends as Mom, Jo, Jo Ann and Tootsie.

She is survived by daughters Jeniffer Baker (Tom), Sheila Bourdeau (Peter), and son Donald (Cathy Kava) as well as five grandchildren, Chloe, Addison, Willow, Sage, and Lilly. JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Jerald “Jerry”; siblings, Delores Nelson and Raymond “Bud” Johnson.

She graduated from Hillsboro HS (ՙ52) and St Joseph’s School of Nursing (ՙ55). In her 53- year career as a nurse, she practiced in several states including Alaska, New Mexico, Maine, and Maryland. Her specialties included orthopedics, emergency department, pediatrics, and hospice. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed gardening, bowling, dancing, and singing in the church choir. She loved flowers and could sometimes be found at the side of the road picking cattails to add to her bouquets. She will always be remembered for her stories, creativity, sense of humor, Norwegian Christmas cookies and of course…her brownies.

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026 followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation in Perham. Lunch and fellowship will follow immediately after the service. Burial will be held at a later date at Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.
