Carl F. Rinas, Jr., 75, of rural Menahga, MN, was called to his heavenly home on Monday, April 4, 2005, at St. Mary's Regional Health Center in Detroit Lakes, MN. Funeral services will be Friday, April 8, 2005, at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, Corliss Township, rural Perham. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Visitation at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, on Thursday, April 7, 2005, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm as well as one hour prior at the church.



Carl Frederick Rinas was born to Karl and Emma (Loebrick) Rinas on May 29, 1929 in Corliss Township, rural Perham where he attended country school. He was baptized on June 30, 1929 and confirmed his faith in his Lord and Savior on June 11, 1944. In his younger years Carl worked at many various jobs. On February 19, 1957, he married Irma Flath in Perham, Minnesota. Carl and Irma were then dairy farmers for the next 37 years. They then worked at Tuffy's in Perham for several years. Carl was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and truly cherished his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very giving person. He loved the outdoors, deer hunting and dancing. A great joy of his was spending time with his grandchildren.



Preceding Carl in death were his parents, Karl and Emma, and a sister, Ruth.



He will be dearly missed by his wife, Irma, of rural Menahga, and four daughters, Connie (Gary) Dierks, of Frazee, Vicky (Danny) Feldt, of Frazee, Pam (Tom) Minten, of Battle Lake, and Karla (Jeff) Wiirre, of Wadena and ten grandchildren. Also surviving him are a brother, Reuben Rinas, of Fergus Falls, and two sisters, Helen (Lawrence) Smith, of Fargo, North Dakota, and Evelyn (Robert) Conklin, of Seattle, Washington.
