Carolyn Fernholz

Carolyn L. (Moore) Fernholz, 76 of Vergas, MN, died Thursday, December 20, 2018 in Frazee Care Center, Frazee, MN.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Vergas.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery.  Pastor Jacob Wagner will officiate.

Carolyn was born May 13, 1942 in Detroit Lakes, MN, the daughter of Albert and Mae (Grahn) Moore.  She married Bennett Otto Stauffacher in 1961 and had a family of five children.

Carolyn worked in housekeeping at the Benson Hospital for eight years before starting a position at Barrel O’ Fun where she worked for almost 20 years.  She retired at the age of 70.

Carolyn loved the Vikings and Keystone Light.

She is survived by her children Cleo Ann (Les) Olson of Emerald, WI, Janet Lynn (Rollie) Mason of Williston, ND, Erik Mark Stauffacher of WI, Dixie (Phil Wieler) Stauffacher of Vergas; and blessed to have many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding Carolyn in death were her parents Albert and Mae Moore and her eldest daughter Lea Adel LaVae Ebnet.
