Christine Wasche

Christine Ann Wasche, age 70, passed away at her home in Perham, MN on October 8th, 2025.

Born on December 26, 1954, in Perham, Christine was the daughter of Joseph and Delores Wasche. She graduated from Perham High School in 1972. She was married to Stan Marotz in May of 1974. They were blessed with two children, Joline and Adam. On September 9, 1999, she married Fred Hedlund, and together they shared many cherished years.

Christine held many different jobs; foster/daycare, roller rink, BC Pub, a ceramics studio, and the food shelf. She had a rare ability to capture life’s precious moments through her art work. It was a gift to all who experienced it.

Christine’s greatest joy came from her family and friends. She was always ready with a listening ear, warm hug, or a word of advice. On Friday mornings, she enjoyed coffee with her sisters at her home after church.

Christine had a special way of making people feel remembered and loved by sending a heartfelt card filled with warmth, humor, and personal touches that made each one feel like a hug in the mail.

She is survived by her daughter, Joline (Gary); her son, Adam (Kayla); and sisters, Pam (Scott), Judie (Gary), and Vicky (Tom). Christine was a proud grandmother to Andy, Brittany, Zach, Ethan, Anabel, and Morgan; a great-grandmother to Cooper, Dawson, and Kita; and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Delores Wasche; her husband, Fred; brother, Paul; nephew, Christopher "Kiffer" Wasche; great nephew, McCoy; and great niece, Ruby Delight.

Christine was especially grateful for and cherished the many friends that helped her and visited with her during her last years of life. She was a woman of strength. Through life’s many challenges, she always remained positive. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives. Her love, creativity, and laughter will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. and a Prayer Service at 6:15 on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Visitation will resume from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 on Wednesday, October 15 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service.
