Clarence Henry Siebels, 79, of Perham, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, August 8, 2025 at his home.
Clarence was born on April 8, 1946 to Joe and Fran Siebels. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1969. In July of 1980, he married the love of his life, Sharon (Bauck) Siebels, and together they built a life filled with family, hard work, and laughter.
For over 40 years, Clarence drove semi-trucks, making countless miles and memories on the open road. Known for “fixing things the trucker way,” he brought a practical and creative touch to everything he did. He had a gift for woodworking, crafting benches, loon carvings, and other projects that reflected his skill and patience. Clarence also enjoyed mowing the lawn, plowing snow in the winter, and tending to his vegetable garden. Clarence always kept his home and yard looking just the way he liked.
Clarence was famous for greeting young ladies with a warm smile and the affectionate nickname “sweetie pie.” He was equally well-known for his quick wit and great sarcastic humor, which could make a whole room laugh and sometimes leave you wondering if he was serious, until that signature smirk gave him away. He treasured time spent on the water, especially evenings on the pontoon, watching the sun dip below the horizon. His favorite saying, “so there,” was delivered with that same charm and humor, leaving an imprint on all who knew him.
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Fran; his sister, Mary Guck; and brother-in-law Alvin Purrington. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon; his children Teresa (Jake) Olson, Ken (Hannah) Siebels, and Anthony (Katelyn) Siebels; his beloved grandchildren Eddie, Anna, Emilia, Tommy, William, Daniel, Jersey (Colby) Stevenson, Hailey Olson, great-grand child Heath; sister Ann Purrington; and many extended family members and friends, including his brother-in-law Lambert Guck.
Clarence’s life will be celebrated with a Visitation from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 on Saturday, August 16 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham, where stories will be shared, tears and laughter will mingle, and the legacy of a husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend will be honored. Burial will be in St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery in Perham.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to enjoy a sunset and think of Clarence—so there.
