Cody Lex

March 20, 1990 — March 2, 2024

Cody Clinton Lex, affectionately known as Cody, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 33, in Perham MN. Cody was born on March 20, 1990, the son of John and Wendy (Rust) Lex in Perham. Cody was a busy man and handful of love his entire life. He attended New York Mills School than finished high school in Perham. He worked at Barrel O' Fun as a sanitation engineer leader and enjoyed his job as a young adult. He met Elyssa Ogle in 2013 and in 2020 they welcomed their beautiful son, Theodore Bradley Lex.

Cody enjoyed being outdoors, foraging for morel mushrooms, fishing, hunting, shooting clay pigeons, and spending time with Theo and family. Theo was the light of his life, Cody loved him more than he will ever know.

Cody was most recently working on the road for Ripley's Inc. out of Erhard MN, the last few years as a fiber optic locator. He truly enjoyed his work but loved coming home to be with Theo more. Cody was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, grandson, and friend who will be missed dearly by many.

He is survived by his parents John Lex of New York Mills and Wendy (Tim) Nosbish of Richville; son Theodore Lex and Theo's mother Elyssa Ogle of Ottertail; brother Bradley Lex; sister Tara (Michael III) Kaufenberg; brother Jordan (Hanna) Anderson; grandmother Alice Lex; grandfather Jerome Rust; niece Autumn Kaufenberg and twin nephews Jesiah and Jordan Jr. Anderson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and family who will miss him dearly.

Preceding Cody in death were his poocho Aldo; grandmother Patricia Rust; grandfather Donald Lex; uncle Michael Lex; and several other family members and friends.

Cody's family remembers him for the joy he brought to those around him, his infectious smile, charisma, hardy laugh, kind heart, welcoming nature, and willingness to help anyone in need.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made directly to his son Theodore Lex at United Community Bank in Perham.
