Danny Schroeer

Danny Kurt Schroeer, age 64, of Perham, MN, died February 22, 2012, at Perham Health. Dan was born on October 8, 1947, the son of Kurt and Luella (Wanderi) Schroeer, in Perham, MN. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Corliss Township. Dan grew up in rural Perham on the family farm and attended school in Perham, graduating from Perham High School in 1965. A veteran of the United States Armed Forces, Dan was sergeant in the 136th Infantry. He was honorably discharged on August 3rd, 1972, and returned home to Perham where he worked on local farms. Later, he became the proud owner of his own farm.
On August 21, 1982, Dan married the love of his life, Sharon Ann Marweg. Together, they began building a great life and growing their family. Dan not only worked on his farm; he also worked for Dekalb Seed Company. The pride and joy of Dan's life was his family and the farm. His dedication to the farm was something to be admired. Dan was loved by many because of his giving nature, willingness to help and his amazing sense of humor. He inspired his children and mentored them during their lives. The couple remained members of St. John's Lutheran Church in Corliss.
Surviving Dan is his wife, Sharon; children, Corey Schroeer, Jennifer Schroeer, Stuart Kimmes, and Scott (Charlotte) Kimmes; six grandchildren; mother, Luella Schroeer; one brother, Kurt (Donna) Schroeer; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Dan in death is his beloved son, Aaron Schroeer; father, Kurt Schroeer and one brother, Roger Schroeer.
