Dolores Mohs

November 27, 1917 — April 5, 2004

Funeral services for Dolores Clara Mohs, age 86, of Perham, MN, will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rush Lake, rural Perham, MN, on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Jerry Nordick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation at Schoeneberger Funeral Home in Perham is from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 12, 2004, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., as well as one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Dolores died at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home, Monday, April 5, 2004.



Mrs. Mohs was born November 27, 1917, in St. Cloud, MN, the daughter of William and Mary (Saatzer) Weiman. She attended St. Anthony?s Grade School in St. Cloud. On November 6, 1937, Dolores married Arthur Mohs at St. John the Baptist Church in Bluffton, MN. They lived in Cold Spring, MN, until 1941 when the family moved to California where she and her husband worked in the shipyards. In 1943, they moved back to Rockville, MN, and in 1949, they relocated to New York Mills, MN. They farmed until 1972. At that time, they purchased the Wheel Bar in Ottertail, MN and moved first to a home near Ottertail and then to a home on Buchanan Lake. Dolores lived at St. James Manor in Perham for a short time and then entered the Perham Memorial Home.



Dolores was a wonderful baker and cook. She loved knitting, crocheting, counted cross-stitch and crafts of all kinds. She also loved to sew and quilt. Dolores belonged to the Christian Mothers and to the Homemaker's Extension Group.



Surviving Dolores are four daughters, Carol Rowan, Wadena, MN, Diane Monson, of Perham, MN, Elaine (Duane) Anderson, of New York Mills, and Linda (Ken) Aly, of Warrandyte, Australia; five sons, Gerald (Mary) Mohs, of Walker, MN, Duane (Lori) Mohs, of Coon Rapids, MN, Kenneth (Jill) Mohs, of Annandale, MN, Ed (Corrine) Mohs, of New York Mills, MN, and Larry (Norma) Mohs, of Kallispell, MT; one daughter-in-law, Kim Mohs; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.



Preceding Dolores in death is her husband, Art; two infant sons; sons, Jim and Tom; grandson, Ricky; granddaughter, Jennifer; great-great-granddaughter, Hannah and two sons-in-law, Robert Rowan and Kenneth Monson.
