Donald Dale Moberg

Donald Moberg, age 88, of Perham, MN, passed away on January 29, 2026 at Perham Living Nursing Home.

Donald Dale Moberg was born June 23, 1937, in Lida Township, MN, the son of Elmer and Inga (Beiningen) Moberg.

Don grew up near Pelican Rapids and attended country school. After high school, he joined the Army for three years as a Staff Sergeant in the 443rd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion. Once back stateside, Don fell in love with Bernadine Emma Rohde. They were married in 1960. After living in the Twin Cities for a while, Don and Bernadine settled down in Perham, MN to raise their family. They both loved traveling the country with friends and family whenever they could.

Don was an avid Minnesota sports fan, particularly the Twins and the Vikings, but loved all Minnesota sports. He loved driving, both at Land O’ Lakes as a truck driver and dispatcher for 27 years. Then driving as a volunteer driver for Otter Tail County until he was in his 80’s. He also enjoyed reading, westerns, traditional country music, Otter Tail County History, and being active in his children and grandchildren’s lives.

Don is survived by his son, Todd Moberg of Minneapolis, MN; grandsons, Trey Moberg of Defiance, OH and Isaiah Moberg of Perham, MN; granddaughter, Jolanah Moberg of Perham, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Inga Moberg; wife, Bernadine Emma in 1987; daughter, Debbie Moberg in infancy; son, Terry Lee Moberg in 2019; and siblings, Claude, Bud, Myron, Bill, and Darlene.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Schoeneberger Funeral and Cremation Service of Perham in late April of 2026.
