Donna Helsene, age 82, of Perham, MN, died Friday, March 4, 2011, at Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, MN.
Donna was born December 2, 1928, the daughter of Kenneth and Corinne (Adams) Boggess in Sioux City, IA, where she grew up and graduated high school. She was united in marriage to Walden "Wally" Helsene on December 23, 1965. Donna later moved to Fergus Falls, MN, where she lived on Lake Eddy and then to Star Lake, Dent, MN; Rush Lake, Ottertail, MN; and Little Pine Lake of Perham, MN. She loved going to rummage sales, taking care of her flower beds, reading and taking care of her grandchildren. Donna was a nanny for many families in the Perham area.
Donna is survived by her son, Marvin, Detroit Lakes, MN; daughter, Corinne (Mark) Haith, Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Jason and Jana; a sister, Loma Gonzales, Omaha, NE; and a brother-in-law, Archie Carlson, Omaha, NE.
Preceding Donna in death are her parents, Kenneth and Corinne; husband, Wally; daughter, Patricia; and sister, Patricia Carlson.
