Donna Tverberg of Ottertail, MN died peacefully Monday, July 20, 2015 at Prairie View Assisted Living surrounded by her family members.
Donna Marie Tjornhom, the first child of Dr. Thomas and Stella (Nelson) Tjornhom, was born November 17, 1926 in St. Paul, MN. She was raised there and graduated from Central High School, there after she attended Augsburg College and then Minnesota School of Business. Donna was united in marriage to Luther Tverberg on June 19, 1948. Together they moved to Pipestone, MN where Luther began his Chiropractic practice. Donna, a devoted wife and mother, had diverse interests, from playing bridge to joining the Flower Club. She was a woman of very strong faith and was an active member of First Lutheran Church. When Luther passed away in 1995, Donna moved to Ottertail Lake to be near her children. She settled easily into life at the lake and became an active member of Zion Lutheran Church of Amor and participated in numerous activities.
Donna is lovingly remembered by her children, Linda Erickson and friend, George Lorentz of Ottertail, MN, Cynthia Morsch and her husband, Gary of Richville, MN, Thomas and friend, Penny Lenius of Perham, MN, and Erik and his wife, Ana of Anoka, MN; her nine grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; her brother, Dr. Thomas Tjornhom and his wife, Nancy; and her sister, Barbara Nelson and her husband, Richard; along with many nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son-in-law, Steve Erickson; her sister, Beth Eklund; her niece, Reverend Laura Nelson; her nephew, Christopher Tjornhom; and many sisters and brothers-in-law.
