Doris Krueger

October 21, 1921 — March 25, 2015

Devoted wife, mother, grandma and great-grandmother, Doris Helen Krueger, age 93, of Perham, MN passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Emmanuel Transitions, Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Perham. Burial will be held in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Perham.

Doris was born on October 21, 1921 the daughter of James and Emma (Carlson) Lefebvre in Crosby Ironton, MN. She was a loving stay-at-home mother of four beautiful children as her husband was a dedicated game warden for thirty-two years in the Perham area. Doris met Paul Krueger in Crosby Ironton and they were married for forty-nine wonderful years.

Doris was a strong Christian woman of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. She was a woman of strong faith and wisdom. Through the years, Doris enjoyed reading, baking and cooking, watching her garden grow, listening and singing to her music in her rocking chair and spending all her time caring for her friends and family. Grandma Doris was known for coffee and cookies after church and praying the rosary for those in need.

Surviving Doris are her four children, Paul (Karen) Krueger of Nashua, NH, Dr. Phil (Nancy) Krueger of Perham, Diane (Jim) Allen of Park Rapids, MN and Connie (Donnie) Foltz of Perham; fourteen beautiful grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Ione Rautus of Perham; and her lifetime friend, Margie Peckrul.

Preceding Doris in death were her parents; her loving husband, Paul; her sister, June Vranish; her brother Jimmy Lefebvre along with many lifelong friends.
