Dorothy was born June 14, 1930 in Evergreen Township, Frazee, MN to Walter and Bertha (Frank) Quittschreiber. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Evergreen. On June 24, 1948 Dorothy was united in marriage to Lawrence Brasel at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Perham. After devoting herself to raising their family Dorothy worked at Tuffy's Pet Food where she later retired.
Dorothy loved taking care of her family and loved ones whether it was with fresh baked treats, a homemade blanket, or a helping hand. She also loved to spend time crocheting, deer hunting, and gardening.
Surviving Dorothy are her three children, Kenneth Brasel of Perham, Kevin Brasel of Perham and Karen (David) Knickrehm of Menahga; her two grandchildren, Ashley (Rishi) Knickrehm and Joshua Knickrehm; as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceding Dorothy in death were her husband, Lawrence; her parents; one infant son, Marlyn; her sister Lorene Rasmussen; along with multiple brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The family would like to extend an extra heartfelt thank you to the wonderful care team at LMLD who provided exceptional love and care to our mother and grandmother.
