Douglas "Doug" Nelson, age 71 of Perham, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Doug is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Daniel) Laytin of Chicago, Illinois; and Sondie (Dennis) Blackmon of Clayton, North Carolina; his three grandchildren, Reed, Brayden, and Emerson; his brothers Mike (Lisa) Nelson of Perham, Minnesota; Kurt (Jeana) Nelson of Perham, Minnesota; and Gary Nelson of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Lois Nelson, and his twin brother.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Interment will be at the Perham City Cemetery.
