Eleanor Perszyk

Eleanor D. Perszyk, age 79, of Perham , MN , died Thursday, February 5, 2009 .


Eleanor Delores (Widmer) Perszyk was born December 5, 1929 , in Gackle , ND , the daughter of Reinhold and Bertha (Lippert) Widmer. In October 1948 she was united in marriage to Bernard Perszyk in Jamestown , ND . Following her husband’s death in 1966 she continued to operate the family dairy farm. She took great pride in keeping the farm in tip top shape. In later years, she concentrated on her yard. Eleanor was a very gifted seamstress and sold her creations at craft shows. She was a member of Hope Homemakers and active in St. Stan’s church.



Eleanor dearly loved her kids and grandkids and she went by many names; Mom, Gram, E, GG, friend, sister, and aunt. We all had a special name for her. Whenever you came to her house you were always greeted with a smile and you had to have “lunch”. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.



Eleanor is survived by three children, Sandy (Mike) Dombeck, Wadena, MN; Bob (Sue) Perszyk, Perham, MN; and Dori (Ken) Larson, Ottertail, MN; six grandchildren, Ken (Sarah) Dombeck, John Dombeck, Katie (Chris) Folkestad, Andy Dombeck, Ellen (Luke) Dilly, and Todd (Melissa) Larson; six great grandchildren, Lilith, Caden, Jenna, Lane, Addison, and Trystan; sister, Elaine (Floyd) Reimers, Palmer, AK; sister-in-law, Marie (Jim) Manthe; and many nieces and nephews.



Preceding Eleanor in death are her parents, Reinhold and Bertha; husband, Bernard; sons, Dennis and Mike Perszyk; brother, Alvin Widmer; and sister, LaVerne Hansen.
