Eloise Schultes

Eloise Marie (Cavalier) Schultes, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025.

She was born to Alex and Florella Cavalier (Thompson) on May 20, 1939 in Leroy, ND. Eloise was the second child first born daughter. The family moved in 1948 to a farm in rural New York Mills.

Along with her sister, Judy, Eloise moved to Fargo, ND. It was here where she met and married Clarence “Cal” Schultes on September 6, 1956. Together they had four children and resided in Moorhead, MN. In 1969, the family then moved to Billings, MT. Due to her father’s illness, the family moved back to the Perham area in 1979.

Eloise worked several jobs which included The Cactus and eventually retired from Kenny’s Candy. No matter where she resided, Eloise enjoyed baking goods and meals for family and friends. During get togethers, she was always up for a game of Parcheesi, Canasta, Wahoo, or Yahtzee. On many nights, you could find Eloise doing one of her favorite pastimes, setting a puzzle or playing solitaire.

Eloise was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend. She is survived by her daughters, Deb Schultes and Karen Beyl; sons, Jeff Schultes and Jerry (Rhonda) Schultes; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; several sisters and brothers; and many other relatives and a host of friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Schoeneberger Funeral and Cremation Service in Perham. Visitation will be one hour prior.
