Emily Lynn Schmidt

Emily Schmidt, of Perham, MN, died at the age of 35. She was an amazing soul and always the life of the party. She cared deeply for the ones she loved and would go out of her way to make you smile. She leaves behind her family, but most importantly, her two amazing kids, Jefferson and Elsie, whom she loved deeply.

Emily was preceded in death by her grandparents; Dale and Judy Schmidt, Al and Betty Niehaus; and her uncle, Chuck Niehaus.

She is survived by her children, Jefferson and Elsie; father, Mark Schmidt; mother, Tammy Niehaus; brothers, Tim Schmidt (Perham), Elijah Schmidt (Perham), and Doug Gardner (Georgetown); sister, Michelle (Josh) Anderson; as well as a host of family members and friends.

Emily will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 12:00-3:00 p.m., followed by the prayer service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service of Perham.
