Ertwin Jones-Hermerding

Ertwin M. Jones-Hermerding, age 62, of Ottertail , MN , passed away on August 11, 2009 in a fatal motorcycle accident.


Ert loved people, theater, athletics, family, and the Otter Tail County lake community. Honored as 2003 Distinguished Alumni from Augsburg College , Ert continued teaching after retiring in 2003 from the Robbinsdale School District . He will be remembered for his passion, integrity, and insistence that people pursue their own greatness.



Ert is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; daughter, Mee Lynn (Matt) Stevens; son, Harper; father Marvin (Dolores); brothers, Mike (Janet) and Todd; and grandson, Dominic, as well as many other loving family and friends.



Preceding Ert in death is his mother, Dorothy.



There will be a memorial service at 42442 County Highway 1, Ottertail , MN , on Saturday, August 15 at 4:00 p.m. with visitation starting two hours prior. A second service will take place at Cooper High School Auditorium on Tuesday, August 18, at 7:00 p.m.



Memorials preferred to Children’s Home Society of MN, Cooper High School Theater, and Perham Community Theater.
