Evelyn Delores (Moen) Lamm, age 92 of Vergas, MN passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 in the St. Cloud (MN) Hospital. Evelyn was born May 30, 1923 on the family farm in rural Rothsay, MN the daughter of John and Clara (Hovland) Moen. She was baptized and confirmed at Friborg Lutheran Church of rural Rothsay. Evelyn attended grade school at District Number 89, graduated from Pelican Rapids, MN High School and went on to attend the Minnesota School of Business. After graduation, she was employed at Creamery Package Company of Minneapolis, and later worked at the ACS office in Fergus Falls, MN. She was united in marriage to Robert N. Lamm on November 3, 1946. She was active in her church, enjoyed teaching Sunday school, and held offices in LMWL.
Evelyn enjoyed working alongside her husband and children on their dairy farm near Vergas, spending time with all of her extended family, making quilts and traveling with Bob during their retirement. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Of all the things she enjoyed, she was especially happy when she was able to spend time with her daughters-in-law. She felt they were a special blessing from God just for her.
Preceding Evelyn in death were her parents; her sisters, Irene Ronningen and Ilene Lien; and her brothers-in-law, Elmer Ronningen, Lloyd Lien, Wilfred Zimmerman, Jim Drechsel and Lyle Johnson.
Surviving Evelyn is her husband of 69 years, Robert; her sons, Roger (Kathy), Allen (Susie), Greg (Becky) and Douglas (Kathy); 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Delia Johnson, Avis Zimmerman, Charlotte Moen, Judy (Ken) Toso, Gerry Drechsel and Ardell Moen; her brother, Don (Marie) Moen; and many, many, many beloved nieces and nephews.
