Florence Pauly

Florence Pauly, age 92, of Perham, MN, died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home surrounded by family.


Florence was born April 29, 1916 , in Waconia , MN , the daughter of John and Appolonia (Wagner) Johnson. She was united in marriage to James Pauly on February 28, 1938 in Waconia. Family was the focus of Florence ’s life. She loved children, cooking, gardening, and was known for her beautiful irises. Florence helped James keep the books at their gas station in Carver, MN, and worked for Tonka Toys for many years. She loved fishing, fish-frys, and family get togethers at their cabin on Little Pine Lake.



Florence is survived by four children, James A. Pauly, Brainerd, MN; Terrance A. (Becky) Pauly, Albertville, MN; Mary A. (Michael) Huss, New Brighton, MN; and Joan (Daniel) Pauly-Schneider, Maple Lake, MN; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Hemmelgarn; and sisters-in-law, Elaine Johnson and Lorraine Johnson.



Preceding Florence in death are her parents; husband, James; a sister, Agatha Bleichner; brothers, Andrew, Jerome, and Clarence Johnson; and a grandchild, Shawn Sibbet.
