Floyd A. Heidorn, age 85 of Perham, MN passed away on July 24, 2022 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.
He was born on September 12, 1936 to Arthur and Amanda (Bahls) Heidorn in Perham.
Floyd loved his animals and being on the farm. When not farming, he also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He especially loved deer hunting and made several memorable hunting trips to Montana.
Floyd started as a produce manager at the Red Owl store in Perham. He then started his own mobile grain mill service, Floyd’s Mobile Mills that served the local farmers in the area. He also spent many years as a bus driver, driving three generations of students to the Perham schools, worked for the City of Perham and a welding shop. The Perham community was important to Floyd. He spent many years serving on various boards and committees including the Perham Jaycees, Perham Township Board, and Pioneer Days. He also spent time as a volunteer for the fire department and ambulance crew.
Floyd is survived by his children, Susan Heidorn (Rick Anderson) and Greg (Diane) Heidorn; sisters, Hazel Hatfield and Carol (Marlin) Swick; brothers, Norman (Elaine) Heidorn and Roger Heidorn; grandchildren, Amanda Wreede, Courtney (Donald) Petrosky, and Garrett Heidorn-Anderson; great grandchildren, Aspen, River, Tristan and Ian; many stepchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Schoeneberger Funeral and Cremation Service of Perham. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Bauck Cemetery in Perham.
