Forest Thibideau

Forest L. “Bud” Thibideau, age 97, of Perham , MN , died Sunday, July 13, 2008 , at the Perham Memorial Home. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 17, 2008 , beginning at 11:00 am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery , Fargo , ND .


Forest was born January 1, 1911 , in Detroit Lakes , MN , the son of Henry J. and Effie M. (Steiner) Thibideau. He was married to Genevieve Sauvageau on October 29, 1977 . Forest worked for Burlington Railroad all his life and spent the last 42 years retired. He loved to fish and was an avid sports fan.



Forest is survived by his wife, Genevieve; sons, Dennis (Rosemary) Thibideau; Forest (Beverly) Thibideau; and Jerry (Lora) Thibideau; step children, Rodney (Joyce) Sauvageau; Bonnie Sauvageau; Charlene (James) Scott; and John (Dotty) Sauvageau; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; and step daughter in law, Julie Sauvageau.



Preceding Forest in death are his parents, Henry J. and Effie M. (Steiner) Thibideau; first wife, Florence ; son, Larry; brother, Leo; and sisters, Henrietta Burley and Neva Prichard.
