George Fresonke, age 53, of Dent, MN died on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

George William Fresonke was born July 20, 1972 in Perham, MN. George was the youngest child of Alfred and Georgene (Harthun) Fresonke. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dent, and spent his whole life living in Dent. George attended Dent Elementary and graduated from Perham High School in 1990.

George owned and operated OK Tire of Perham for over 25 years with his brother, Brian. After selling that business they started Tires LLC in Dent.

George enjoyed duck hunting with his dad Alfred, brother Brian, and cousin Bob. He also loved deer hunting with family and friends. After his accident that left him blind, he was able to go hunting with Midwest Outdoors Unlimited with the help of friends Steve Melgard, Casey Melgard, Kelly Melgard, and Jeremy Seifert. George was able to go deer hunting every fall with Steve Melgard and family. Before he lost his eyesight, he enjoyed riding his Harley with friends Curt Osterfeld, Mitch Bartel, and Johnny Haverland. George loved watching NASCAR and was able to go to several races with his friends over the years.

George loved his family especially his twin niece and nephew Abby and Jay.

Surviving George are his dad Alfred; his brother Brian (Shelly) Fresonke; sister Stacey Fresonke; niece Abby Fresonke; nephews Jay Fresonke and Chris Haugen; aunt and uncles Joyce and Bruce Wiese and Bruce Lillis; cousins Grant (Susan) Fresonke, Richard (Sue) Fresonke, Paul (Kathy) Fresonke, Sheila Yanish, Cheryll (Roman) Woinarowicz, Tammy (Stephen) Sedgwick, and Kristie (Matt) Graves; along with many other relatives and good friends.

Preceding George in death were his mother Georgene; grandparents William and Helena Fresonke and George and Mignonette Harthun; uncles and aunts Henry, Johanna, Elmer and Darlene, Ervin and Avis Fresonke, Angeline Harthun, and Marcia and Bob Busick; and cousins Bob Fresonke, Shari Fresonke, Ben Bishop III, and Barbara Bishop.

Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Perham. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Dent, MN.
