Gertrude Ulschmid

Gertrude Ann Ulschmid (Gertie), age 92 of Perham, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Perham Health.

Gertrude was born July 26, 1931 in Perham, Minnesota to Ambrose and Helen Lonski. She was united in marriage to Everett Ulschmid on December 28, 1953. They made their home in Frazee until moving to Perham while raising four daughters. Getrude worked many years in the kitchen at Perham Memorial Hospital and Home until she retired. Getrude enjoyed cooking, watching QVC, visiting with her friends and family, playing bingo and shopping.

Gertrude will be remembered and deeply missed by her two daughters, Barbara (Dean) Long, Frazee, Minnesota, Susan (Thomas) Sund, Audubon, Minnesota; two granddaughters Angela (Robert) Johnson, Perham, Minnesota, Amber (Jason) Collins, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; three grandsons, Benjamin (Allen) Ternus, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bryan (Kailee) Ternus, Perham, Minnesota, Matthew (Erin) Sund, Minot, North Dakota; six great grandchildren, Lilli Johnson, Kailee Johnson, Ellie Ternus, Whitney Sund, Lauren Sund, and Taytum Collins.

Gertrude is preceded in death by her husband, Everett Ulschmid; daughters, Paulette Ulschmid and Karen Christenson; brothers, Paul Lonski and Florian Lonski; sister Martha Ulschmid  and her parents, Ambrose and Helen Lonski.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Schoeneberger Funeral and Cremation Service in Perham. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment at St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery in Perham.
