Gregory Freiberg

Gregory "Greg" E. Freiberg, age 55, of Perham, MN died on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Perham Health. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September, 5, 2012 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Corliss Township. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Corliss Township, South Cemetery.

Greg was born on March 24, 1957, to Dwain and Gladys (Mullenhoff) Freiberg. Greg was born in Norfolk, NE but lived in Stanton, NE. He was united in marriage to Pam Hoar on October 20, 1972. Greg farmed and worked at Vulcraft until 1992 when they moved to Perham, MN and owned and operated Jungle Shores Resort until 1999. He was currently working for Minnesota Dairy Herd Improvement Association.

Greg loved spending time with his grandkids and was anticipating the birth of his 6th grandchild on Friday, September 7th. He also loved fishing, watching birds, and most of all working next to his "Pamie" around their home and garden.

Preceding Greg in death is his father, Dwain; his sister, Patricia Cool; and his father-in-law, Donald Hoar.

Greg is survived by his wife, Pam of Perham, MN; son, Dwain Freiberg of Brandon, SD; daughter, Jessica (Jon) Esperum of West Fargo, ND; daughter, Sara (Jake) Schossow of Perham, MN; grandchildren, Kaytee, Dalton, Drake, Bree, and Ben; his mother, Gladys Freiberg of Stanton, NE; brother, Doug (Leanne) Freiberg of Allen, TX; sister, Peggy (Greg) Lama of Springfield, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
